Marcus Broadhead Work Experience Student

Hunslet Foundation are delighted to have on board Marcus Broadhead who will take on a Volunteering role helping assist our Development officer Michael Nuttall. Marcus is a former student of the South Leeds Academy and is a product of local amateur side Hunslet Club Parkside.

Here is what Marcus has to say about his work with the Foundation.

“My name is Marcus Broadhead and I am a 19-year-old undergraduate student, studying Secondary Physical Education & Sport Development at Leeds Trinity University. I initially emailed Michael Nuttall to do my 5-week block placement with him at Hunslet RLFC from May 2018 until July 2018. This was a brilliant experience for me, which lead me to wanting to return at Hunslet RLFC with Michael in November to begin my voluntary one day a week. Originally this was meant to finish in May 2019 based on my required hours for my University module, however I decided to extend my volunteering work with the foundation until July 2020 when my degree finishes, as it would be beneficial for me and the experience gained from it will be invaluable. I am looking forward to the experience ahead of me and the opportunities it may make available to me.”
