Hunslet Foundation have partnered up with Positive Futures and Active Leeds to put on a Triathlon Event on the 14th June welcoming 10 schools the clubs Development Officer Michael Nuttall has been working in. The schools are, Milddleton St Marys, Clapgate Primary, Westwood Primary, Blackgates Primary, St Francis of Assisi, Beeston St Anthonys, Rothwell Primary, Gildersome Primary, Hunslet Carr and Hunslet St Marys.
The event will take place on the fixture between Hunslet RLFC vs Doncaster, and we will welcome all the children to the game as guard of honours.
Rich Sadler from Active Leeds commented on the event “Active Leeds promote and encourage healthy lifestyles and support all communities of Leeds to be more physically active. Using World Triathlon Series Leeds as inspiration, it has been great to work with the Hunslet Rugby Foundation to give young people across the south Leeds area the chance to take part in triathlon activity. Triathlon is a sport that traditionally a lot of young people don’t have the opportunity to try so to be able to bring it to their doorstep is fantastic and shows that Leeds is a triathlon city for everyone”.
